Our Future

I was doing research for a project in Economics yesterday, and I came across some discouraging information about hunting. The age range for a hunter to be considered a youth hunter is between 6 and 15 years of age. Over the past few years, the number of youth hunters has been dramatically decreasing. This is bad news for the economy, but I won't go into that on here. These statistics are also really bad for the future of hunting.
There are a decent number of older hunters left today. But, when these older hunters are no longer around, there are not going to be enough youth hunters to replace them. This basically means that hunting could eventually become a thing of the past.
As hunters, we CANNOT let this happen. Become a mentor. Get your mentoring license and take someone out on a youth hunt. Encourage everyone else to become a mentor. Even if you don't know any young children that are interested in hunting, get them interested in anything with the outdoors. Wildlife conservation is heading in the same direction as hunting, so if you can't get them involved in huntinG, get them involved in conservation!
Don't let hunting become a thing of the past!
